Belize Travel Insider participates in affiliate advertising programs. This disclosure explains how those relationships work, which partners are involved, and how our editorial decisions are made.
1. FTC Compliance Statement
In accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255), we disclose that some links on this website are affiliate links. This means we may earn a commission if you click a link and complete a qualifying purchase or booking, at no additional cost to you.
This disclosure applies site-wide. You do not need to see a per-link disclaimer on every outbound booking link for this disclosure to be in effect.
2. How Partner Links Work
When you click a booking link on this site and complete a transaction, the partner platform records the referral via a tracking parameter in the URL. We receive a commission, typically a percentage of the booking value, from the partner, not from you.
Prices you see on partner sites are identical to what you would pay visiting those sites directly. Affiliate relationships never increase your cost.

We currently participate in affiliate programs with the following partners:
Day tours, adventure experiences, and guided activities across Belize.
Guided experiences from half-day to multi-day Belize adventures.
Community-hosted cultural tours and local immersions.
Hotel and guesthouse search for Belize properties.
Flight and hotel bundles for Belize travel.
This list is updated as partnerships are added or removed.
4. Editorial Independence
Affiliate relationships do not determine which partners are featured or how they are presented. We select booking partners based on their usefulness to travellers planning a Belize trip, including breadth of inventory, cancellation flexibility, and user experience.
A partner being in an affiliate program does not guarantee placement. Partners may be removed if their product quality, pricing transparency, or customer service falls below our standards.
5. Sponsored & Featured Placements
If a listing, article, or section has been paid for by a third party, it will be clearly labelled as “Sponsored” or “Featured Partner”. Unlabelled content reflects our independent editorial judgement.
6. No Booking Guarantee
Commissions are earned only on completed, non-refunded bookings. Our editorial coverage is not contingent on commissions being earned, we write about experiences regardless of whether a booking partner exists for them.
