River Tubing

Cave's Branch River is the primary tubing destination in Belize, running through a limestone cave system north of the Hummingbird Highway in the Cayo to Belize City corridor. The float covers roughly two miles of underground corridor, with helmets and headlamps provided. Guides point out formations, cave fish, and in some sections, ancient Maya pottery stored on ledges above the waterline.

The float is non-strenuous by design and suitable for mixed-fitness groups, making it the most widely booked activity for families and travelers who want a low-impact introduction to Belize's inland environment. Water temperature stays cool year-round, but water levels can affect access during peak rainy season from June through October.

Many operators run tubing as a half-day and pair it with a zipline, waterfall swim, or short jungle walk in the afternoon. Combination packages typically run five to seven hours total with transport included from San Ignacio or Belize City corridor hotels.
