Very early: the first Express passes San Ignacio's Welcome Center at 4:00 AM and reaches Belize City at 6:30 AM. Twelve buses run daily from 4:00 AM to about 7:30 PM, so morning commuters and airport-bound travelers have plenty of options.
Which bus should I take from San Ignacio to catch a flight at BZE?
For a midday international flight, take the 5:45 AM Premium or one of the 5:45-6:15 AM Express services, arriving Belize City by 8:45 AM, then a 25 to 30 minute taxi to the airport. Buses arrive at the downtown terminal, not the airport, so budget the taxi leg on top. For tight connections a prebooked shuttle is safer.
How long does the bus take from San Ignacio to Belize City?
Express services take about 2 hours 15 minutes; Regular services take closer to 3 hours with village stops. All services stop in Belmopan except the 5:45 AM Premium, which skips it and runs the corridor in about 1 hour 45 minutes from San Ignacio.
