From Belize City, boats run from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM (eight departures daily). From San Pedro, the first boat leaves at 6:00 AM (early enough for most international flight connections) and the last at 4:30 PM. The same schedule runs seven days a week.

Not directly: the San Pedro Belize Express leaves from the marine terminal in downtown Belize City, about 25 to 30 minutes from the airport by taxi (roughly US$25 to $30). If you land before mid-afternoon, you can usually make the next boat. Landing later than that, compare a 20-minute domestic flight to San Pedro before committing to the ferry.

Work backwards: airlines want you at BZE two to three hours before departure, the taxi from the marine terminal takes about 30 minutes, and the boat from San Pedro takes about 90 minutes. For a midday flight, that usually means the 6:00 AM or 7:00 AM boat from San Pedro. Many travelers sleep in Belize City or fly domestic instead of cutting it close.

In high season (December through April) and around holidays, booking online a day or two ahead is worth it: popular midday boats do fill. In slower months you can usually buy at the terminal, but arrive 30 minutes before departure either way to clear check-in and luggage loading.
