Arrive at PGIA, stop at the Belize Zoo on the way inland, then continue to San Ignacio for your first base. This turns arrival day into one easy outing instead of burning a full hotel night near the airport.

Day 2
Cahal Pech + San Ignacio Town
Keep the first full day light. Visit Cahal Pech, browse town, and settle into the inland pace before choosing bigger adventure days. This works especially well for families still adjusting to heat, flights, and transfer fatigue.

Day 3
Cave Tubing or Xunantunich
Pick one anchor family day instead of trying to stack multiple tours. Cave tubing is the gentler adventure choice. Xunantunich is the better fit if your group wants a ruin with a memorable ferry crossing and shorter activity blocks.

Day 4
Transfer to Caye Caulker
Make this a real move day from San Ignacio to Caye Caulker. Once you arrive, keep the rest of the day easy with a swim, an early dinner, and a slower island evening.

Hol Chan Marine Reserve
Use your first island full day for the signature reef outing. Families usually do best with one main snorkel day and one open island day rather than trying to fill both with fixed departures.

Caye Caulker Free Day
Leave this day open for swimming, biking, easy food stops, and a simple beach schedule. That slack is exactly what keeps a family Belize trip from feeling overpacked.

Departure
Travel back to PGIA by water taxi or domestic flight. Because the trip only uses two main bases, departure day is much easier to manage than on a three-stop route.
