Rows of steep, palm thatched cabanas, styled after South Pacific beach cottages and tucked among royal palms, hibiscus, and bougainvillea, give Ramon's Village Resort the feel of a small tropical village rather than a single tower. It sits right on the sand in San Pedro Town on Ambergris Caye, close enough to walk to the airstrip, the water taxi terminal, and the restaurants and golf cart rentals along the main streets, with sandy paths threading the grounds down to the water.
Guests step off their private veranda straight onto the beach, and the resort's own PADI dive operation runs boats out to the reef, the Blue Hole, and other Ambergris Caye dive sites right from its overwater dock. Rooms are outfitted with air conditioning, coffee makers, and in room safes, and days here rarely require leaving the property: there is a beachfront spa for massages, a small gift shop, and two restaurants, including an over the water bar known for its fruit smoothies and sunset views.
Divers and snorkelers gravitate to the long running dive shop and the easy walk into San Pedro, while families and couples split naturally between the roomy jungle cabanas and the quieter beachfront king rooms, all of it a low key, walkable base on the caye.
